Walking Distance
Just 400m from Doodale Cottage. Steven and Amanda took over the running of The Royal Oak in June 2019. Serves traditional pub grub most lunchtimes and evenings. Closed Monday.
Just across the road from Doodale Cottage. A warm welcome from Elaine awaits.
Lunchtime and evening food served most days. Friday fish and chip night is very popular.

Freshly made, locally sourced food with a continually changing list of cask ales. One of our favourite places to eat.

Run by the Croft Community (part of Camphill Village Trust) who support adults with learning disabilities. The Croft community members are supported to run and work in the café, often using produce grown in their community garden in homemade soup and salads.

Great for lunch when out and about for the day. Pick up provisions from the farmshop, deli and butchers. Or browse the country styled gift and interior shop.

Serving sandwiches, light meals, cakes and pastries.

Amazing views. Can be reached by car (single track road) or a number of walks – see website for details.
We refuelled for the remainder of our walk with homemade lemonade, sandwiches made with homemade bread and a slice of moggy.
