Our beef is now available to order using Order, Prepay and Collect service.  We have introduced this service because our farmgate shop is too small to comply with government guidelines regarding covid-19.

To Order – We can take orders by phone (01653 694530), email and using our online order form .

Pricing – Most of our beef is priced per kilogram and exact pricing will be provided once your order is prepared. Typical prices are given on the order form and we are happy to discuss your requirements by phone or email.

Payment – Once your order has been prepared, we will send you an order summary along with a secure electronic payment link by SMS or email.  Payment can then be made by credit or debit card.  Please call us to discuss if you have any concerns with this method.

Collection – All orders must be paid for prior to collection.  Select your preferred collection day and time on the online form.  Collection is from Barr Farm, Town Street, Old Malton YO17 7HD. Please phone us on 01653 694530 when you arrive at the farmgate.

Rump Steak Ideal for grilling, BBQs, stir fry and kebabs – sold in packs of 2 steaks, typically £9 – £12 per pack £20/kg
Minute Steak Quick and easy to cook, ideal for a steak sandwich – typically sold in 250g packs, £3.50-£4 per pack £15/kg
Fillet Tail Cut from pointed end of the whole fillet steak, the fillet tail has the same flavour and texture as a traditional fillet steak, but it much thinner at one end. Our highland beef is butchered and vacuum packed by T. S Hartley & Sons Ltd at Tholthorpe.

Sausages and Beef Burgers are made by T. S Hartley & Sons Ltd.

The pies we sell are made by Fletchers in Norton using our Highland Beef.
